Tichy Train Group Wrecking Crane

Tichy Train Group has a highly detailed HO scale kit of the Brownhoist 120 ton steam wrecking crane. The instructions come with a brief history of the crane as well as prototype pictures. Because of the amount of detail and number of parts in the kit, it is very important to read the instructions and familiarize yourself with everything before you begin the build.

The kit is made of injected molded styrene and because of the amount of detail, the model can be time-consuming to build but goes together with relative ease with plastic cement or ACC. The finished model rotates and the boom can be raised and lowered. The hooks however are non working (they can not be raised or lowered but do swing). Trucks are included.

Once complete, the wrecking crane is a masterpiece!

Also available from Tichy Train Group is a boom car which is intended to be used with the wrecking crane.

As with the wrecking crane, this kit is also highly detailed and comes with complete underbody detail. Trucks and couplers are not included. I am really enjoying building these kits and I am amazed at the level of detail.
