In my Walmart's office supply section I found these miniature clothes pins, labeled 'Wood Clips' if I remember. These are really small. Much smaller than a 'regular' clothes pin and very well suited to clamping model parts as the photos show.
Retired US Army. I was a Communications Center Operator (72B) during the early 70's. Did the Vietnam thing and got out in 1972. Went back in the Army in 1987 as a Tanker (19K) for 12 years (did the Desert Storm thing). Changed over to Ammo (55B/89B) (did the OEF/OIF thing). I'm getting a room ready for the layout .. and have no intention what so ever in modeling a desert .. been there .. done that. :)
Thanks for the tip Ed. My wife brought some of these home for me and I sanded about half a bag full of 'em off to a semi-sharp point. Now I have two kinds of mini clips to fit most anthing I need to clamp. I already used them to hold a sprue full of M/U hose glad hands and angle cocks for painting. The clips easily stood up on the square ends to hold them while the parts dried. Neat.
