Greetings to All.

Greetings to all members and administrators, I'm John from Rochester, NY with a travel interest that started with a career in the Navy and as I found retirement at the Chief Petty Officer position I was quite happy with all my accomplishments.
Growing up I would build all sorts of models all the way from the first Hawk and Aurora kits to the newest in Tamiya, Revell and DML, along the way I found myself entering the world of HO railroads and added that to my many model building interests as making trains run facinated me. I keep up with all three facets of models including 1/48th scale WW2 aircraft and 1/35th scale WW2 dioramas. All of which is now in a really cool 10x20ft lofted barn. My home is now emptied out of all my building suppies and tools which freed up a large bedroom, my wife is very happy now.
As I post photos here, mostly in the forums I will feature the latest techniques that I have discovered and share the history of railroads as well, I hope to have many followers here as well as the many fans on F/B, trainsetsonly.com and Amazon.com as I have many how-to articles on those and other sites; Model Railroader-Community (photos) and Modelgeek-railroad features.
I hope to inspire beginners and learn from others as well, all in good spirit of the great hobby.
