About Shortline Modelers Lounge

Welcome to Shortline Modelers Lounge. An online magazine dedicated to shortline and narrow gauge railroading.

All my life I have been fascinated by small railroads. I grew up in Northern California and loved visiting old abandoned lines like the Pickering Lumber Co. and West Side Lumber Co. as well as railfaning the Central California Traction Co., California Northern Railroad, Sierra Railroad, Yolo Shortline and so many more.

I wanted to create a place for other railfans and model railroaders to share in that love for these short lines.

Shortline Modelers Lounge is that place. It is a destination for you, the model builder to share your work and techniques as well as learn from your fellow modelers all around the world. Also, railfans have a place to tell of their adventures and to share their information.
